Title: Note 3: Subrecipients Accounting Policies: The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) includes the federal grant activity of Bourbonnais Elementary School District No. 53 and is presented on the cash basis of accounting. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of the Office of Management and Budget Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in the preparation of, the basic financial statements. The District changed the basis of accounting from the modified accrual basis to the cash basis for fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. Expenditures that qualified as cash basis expenditures for the 2023 SEFA but were previously reported on the 2022 SEFA are not included on the 2023 SEFA.
