Title: Department of Health and Human Services Provider Relief Funds Accounting Policies: Significant Accounting Policies The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards ('Schedule") summarizes the expenditures of Main Line Health System and Affiliates (MLHS), including Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR), under programs of the federal government for the year ended June 30, 2023. The information presented in the Schedule is presented on the accrual basis of accounting, which is in accordance with Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principals, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only the federal award activity of MLHS, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets and cash flows of MLHS. Negative numbers in the Schedule represent adjustments to amounts reported in prior years in the normal course of business. Assistance listing numbers and pass-through numbers are provided when aviliable. For purposes of the Schedule, federal awards include all grants, contracts, and similar agreements entered into directly between MLHS and agencies and departments of the federal government and all sub-awards to MLHS by nonfederal organizations pursuant to federal grants, contracts and similar agreements. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: Facilities and administrative Costs LIMR, an entity of MLHS, applies its predetermined approved facilities and administrative rate when charging indirect costs to federal awards rather than the 10% de minimis cost rate as described in section 200.414 of the Uniform Guidance. MLHS was the recipient of funding under Assistance Listing #93.498, Provider Relief Fund and American Rescue Plan (ARP) Rural Distribution. The grant activity presented in the Schedule associated with this Assistance Listing includes all Period 4 and Period 5 funding received between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022 as reported to HRSA via the PRF Reporting Portal and includes lost revenues. The Schedule includes $23,395,932 of Provider Relief Funds received that have been covered by $8,427,860 of direct expenditures and $14,968,072 of lost revenues (the total eligible amount of lost revenues reported in the PRF reporting portal was $139,001,087).

Per the FEMA and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) guidelines, the Network was entitled to 100% of the obligated claim submitted and has appropriately reported $8,117,199 on the Schedule for 2023. Of the amount obligated and reported on the Schedule in fiscal year 2023, $5,854,840 relates to expenses incurred by MLHS in prior fiscal years.
