commodities from the California Department of Education (“CDE”) and that amount is reported
under federal assistance listing number 10.555. The donated value of the food commodities is based
on the difference between the amount paid by Boys Republic and the actual market value for each
item received, as provided by CDE. The donated food commodities were recorded as program
revenue under the nutrition program in the Boys Republic audited financial statements for the year
ended June 30, 2023.
