Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of the MCVC and is presented on the basis of accounting prescribed by the West Virginia Department of Education, which is a comprehensive basis of accounting other than accounting principles generally accepted in the United State of America. The information on this Schedule is prepared in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in this schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in preparation of the financial statements. The MCVC has elected not to use the 10-percent de minimums indirect cost rate as allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
