Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following, as applicable either the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, where in certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement. Negative amounts shown on the schedule represent adjustments or credits made in the normal course of business to amounts reported as expenditures in prior years.

The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the Schedule) includes the federal award activity of Boundary Regional Community Health Center, Inc. dba: Kaniksu Community Health (the Center) under programs of the federal government for the year ended December 31, 2022. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of the Center, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, statement of activities and changes in net assets, functional expenses, or cash flows of the Center.

The financial statements reflect revenue recognized from the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) of $287,939 and $284,567 for the years ended December 31, 2022 and 2021, respectively. The schedule includes $572,506 of Period 1 expenditures of PRF in accordance with the requirements of the compliance supplement for assistance listing number 93.498. Unused PRF of $28,409 was returned to the granting agency.

Boundary Regional Community Health Center, Inc. was approved by the United States Department of Agriculture to receive a loan totaling $8,600,000 to construct a new clinic. Interim loan financing was received for the construction period. The amount listed for this loan includes the beginning of the period loan balance of $1,319,6130. The balance owing at the end of the period is $8,600,000.
