Title: Lost Revenues
Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement and the unique reporting instructions issued by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Provider Relief Funds. The unique reporting requirements issued by HHS for Provider Relief Funds requires Provider Relief Funds to be reported in the schedule of expenditure of federal awards based on the date of receipt of the Provider Relief Funds rather than the period in which the funds were expended.
De Minimis Rate Used: Y
Rate Explanation: The auditee used the de minimis cost rate.
During the year ended December 31, 2022, expenditures reported by Hospice of Kankakee Valley, Inc. in the schedule of expenditure of federal awards under the assistance listing number 93.498 consisted of lost revenues of a prior period. See Note B for additional information concerning the reporting requirements for Provider Relief Funds.
