Title: NON-CASH AWARDS FOOD COMMODITIES
Accounting Policies: The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards is prepared on the modified accrual basis of accounting. Expenditures represent only the federally funded portions of the program. District records should be consulted to determine amounts expended or matched form non-federal sources.
De Minimis Rate Used: N
Rate Explanation: The University Place School District used up to the federal restricted rate of 3.4% or the non-restricted rate of 13.88% for all reimbursable grants. The University Place School District has not elected to use the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
The amount of food commodities reported on the schedule is the market value of commodities distributed ty the District during the current year. The value determined by the USDA.

The University Place School District incurred FEMA expenditures in the 2020 2021 fiscal year. FEMA approved eligible expenditures during the 2021 22 fiscal year and partially reimbursed the district.
