For the year ended June 30, 2023, the Coalition had the following major programs:
• Criminal Victim Assistance (16.575) – These funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Justice. The program is designed to support victim assistance services for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, drunk driving, homicide, and other crimes.
• Injury Prevention and Control Research and State and Community Based Programs (93.136) – These funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program is designed to (1) support injury control research on priority issues; (2) integrate aspects of engineering, public health, behavioral sciences, medicine, engineering, health policy, economics, and other disciplines in order to prevent and control injuries more effectively; (3) rigorously apply and evaluate current and new interventions, methods, and strategies that focus on the prevention and control of injuries; (4) stimulate and support Injury Control Research Centers (ICRCs) in academic institutions which will develop a comprehensive and integrated approach to injury control research and training; and (5) bring the knowledge and expertise of ICRCs to bear on the development of effective public health programs for injury control.

• Family Violence Prevention and Services/Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Services and Supports (93.497) – This funding will support allowable activities to assist states, territories, tribal governments, and community efforts to assist sexual assault survivors and address the increased need for virtual access and emergency services and as a result of COVID-19 public health emergency. Section 2204 (d) of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) provides flexibility in how each recipient uses the funding to support (1) the transition to virtual services including counseling, mobile advocacy, telehealth, teletherapy, and peer support (2) providing emergency assistance for survivors such as temporary housing, rental assistance, and nominal relocation expenses paid to third party vendors on behalf of victims (3) the purchase of supplies, equipment, technology, and software to assist in carrying out remote services, and (4) the purchase supplies needed to safely staff and operate rape crisis centers during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
