Accounting Policies: 1. BASIS OF PRESENTATIONThe accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards (the "Schedule") includes the federalaward activity of United Way of El Paso County under programs of the federal government for theyear ended March 31, 2022. The information in this Schedule is presented in accordance with therequirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform AdministrativeRequirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of United Way of El PasoCounty, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets, or cashflows of United Way of El Paso County.2. BASIS OF PRESENTATIONExpenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Suchexpenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, whereincertain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.3. INDIRECT COST RATEUnited Way of El Paso County has elected to use the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate allowed underthe Uniform Guidance.4. LOANS OR LOAN GUARANTEESUnited Way of El Paso County did not expend federal awards related to loans or loan guaranteesduring the year ended March 31, 2022.5. NON-CASH ASSISTANCEDuring the current fiscal year, United Way of El Paso County did not expend any federal non-cashassistance.6. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTSThere are no insurance requirements on the federal awards disclosed on the Schedule of Expendituresof Federal Awards
