Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or limited as to reimbursement. Negative amounts shown on the Schedule, if any, represents adjustments or credits made in the normal course of business to amounts reported as expenditures in prior years.

Rate Explanation: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor is a sub-recipient of funds from Los Angeles Unified School District through the Twenty-First Century Community Learning Center Grant. As a sub-recipient of the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Club receives 9-percent of the 10-percent de minimis indirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance.
