Accounting Policies: The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia and its component units, and is presented on the modified accrual basis of accounting. Nonmonetary assistance is reported in the schedule at the fair market value of the commodities received and disbursed as determined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. At June 30, 2022, the School Board, a component unit, had food commodities totaling $20,304 in inventory.
