Title: Food Donation Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule are reported on the accrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principles contained in the Uniform Guidance, Cost Principles for Nonprofit Organizations, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable or are limited as to reimbursement.Federal assistance received under the child nutrition cluster of programs is performance funded based on the number of meals served. The entire reimbursement payment is eligible to be used for any combination of direct or administrative costs. The Program did not elect to use the 10 percent de minimis indirect cost rate. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The auditee did not use the de minimis cost rate. Nonmonetary assistance is reported in the schedule of expenditures of federal awards at the fair market value of the commodities disbursed. At June 30, 2022, the Program had food commodities totaling $306,764 in inventory.
