Title: Subrecipients Accounting Policies: Basis of Presentation - The accompanying schedule of expenditures of federal awards includes the federal grant activity of the Volunteers of America of Western New York, Inc. and is presented on the accrual basis of accounting. Federal awards that are included in the schedule may be received directly from federal agencies, as well as federal awards that are passed through from other government agencies. The information in this schedule is presented in accordance with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Therefore, some amounts presented in the schedule may differ from amounts presented in, or used in preparation of, the consolidated financial statements. De Minimis Rate Used: N Rate Explanation: The auditee did not use the de minimis cost rate. Indirect costs may be included in the reported expenditures, to the extent that they are included in the federal financial reports used as the source for the data presented. The Organization has elected not to use the 10 percent de minimus indirect cost rate as allowed under the Uniform Guidance. Matching costs (the Organization's share of certain program costs) are not included in the reported expenditures. Of the federal expenditures presented in the schedule, Volunteers of America of Western New York, Inc. provided no federal awards to subrecipients.
