Title: Basis of presentation
Accounting Policies: Expenditures reported on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards are reported on theaccrual basis of accounting. Such expenditures are recognized following the cost principlescontained in the Uniform Guidance, wherein certain types of expenditures are not allowable orare limited as to reimbursement. Mercy Care has not elected to use the ten percent de minimisindirect cost rate allowed under the Uniform Guidance.

The accompanying Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the “Schedule”) includes thefederal award activity of Mercy Care under programs of the federal government for the yearended June 30, 2023. The information in the Schedule is presented in accordance with therequirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform AdministrativeRequirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (the “UniformGuidance”). Because the Schedule presents only a selected portion of the operations of MercyCare, it is not intended to and does not present the financial position, changes in net assets orcash flows of Mercy Care.
